Tucker Carlson talks with Catherine Fitts about a secretive institution with sovereign immunity that can move trillions without oversight.
If you look at the group of people who meet through the BIS – what's that? The BIS is the Bank of International Settlements, the Central Bank of Central Banks. It's located in Basel, Switzerland, with 63 of the most powerful central banks as its members. The New York Fed and the Fed became shareholders in 1994. In one sentence – what's the purpose of the Bank of International Settlements? Two things: 1) It has sovereign immunity – meaning it's above the law, its own country, with its own police force. No one has legal authority to move against it. 2) It can move and hold money secretly on its balance sheet. If someone wanted to steal 21 trillion from the US government, the BIS could move and hide it anywhere in the world. Who empowered it? It was created after World War I, supposedly to manage German reparations – but in reality, the Bank of England and other central bankers wanted an entity with sovereign immunity.
