The Basic Principles of Ionospheric Heating
Ionospheric heaters use a technique called high-frequency ionospheric heating. This technique involves transmitting a powerful radio signal with a frequency of several megahertz (MHz) into the ionosphere. The signal is typically generated by a large antenna array that can focus the radio waves into a narrow beam.
