Dear Friend,

As an emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe for 23 years, I have an urgent message to share with shluchim and anash at this crucial time. The stakes are too high to ignore my message. Please share widely with everyone you know in the Chabad community. PART I (transcript below)
שלום וברכה

This is video is part one of my urgent plea to fellow shluchim and anash worldwide:

My name is Michoel Green, and I have been זוכה to serve as a shliach of the Rebbe for over 23 years, and as a מנהל of the בית חב"ד in Westborough, Massachusetts for the past twenty years.

Chassidim ein mishpocho. בני איש אחד נחנו. As a fellow chossid, I turn to you directly to communicate my earnest warnings at this crucial time. In this shocking time of upheaval and unprecedented tragedy afflicting the family of shluchim and anash, I feel that a serious cheshbon hanefesh is urgently in order.

טייערע ברידער:

Please understand that it is NOT our shlichus to endorse or enforce state policies. And even if there were some alleged medical benefit in it, we still need to be exceedingly cautious not to give any appearance of allowing govt to dictate policy with regards to Talmud Torah or shul attendance.

Over the past two years, I was shocked to hear about shluchim locking down their shuls and schools at the state’s behest, and then how many shluchim banned unmasked, unswabbed, and unvaccinated yidden from attending shul, and how some shluchim even banned healthy Jewish women from using the mikva on her ליל טבילה, just because a state policy.

Fancy brochures and videos were put out that advertised how shluchim compliantly wore masks and encouraged yidden NOT to attend shul or sedarim, היו לא תהיה.

Even now, we are hearing chabad houses that have turned into testing centers or even vaccination centers, רח”ל.

As I’ll explain in a later video, Merkos’ actions against me last year was a powerful public statement that Chabad movement endorses this dubious pharmaceutical product and does not permit objection to it.

My friends, beware.

Our willingness to endorse political or state-sponsored medical policies is a slippery slope. Chabad’s silence and complicity with covid policy over the past two years is a בכיה לדורות, an outrage that will have devastating long-term effects and threatens to discredit all the good work we have done in our communities.

You probably never imagined how dangerous your compliance was, but it’s crucial to be רואה את הנולד, to see the consequence of this compliance. It is becoming increasingly evident that the objective of this entire pandemic – or at least its end product – was to force-vaccinate the population. Chabad’s participation in the covid agenda is now seen by many as an endorsement to compulsory vaccination, an extraordinary assault on individual liberties, body sovereignty, AND on religious freedom.

Do you understand what I am saying? Chabad is now perceived as being on the side of the מתייוונים, the enemies of religious freedom and the supporters of dictatorship.

If your mosad has done any of the examples of covid compliance I described above, you have committed a grave error. You betrayed your community and worst of all, you betrayed your meshaleach.

While you might have deluded yourself into thinking you achieved a short-term "kidush Hashem", it was actually a tragically myopic tunnel-vision view of reality.

A shliach must never act in deference to popular opinion or to alleged majority views. This is a grave error and is against the expressed will of our meshaleiach, the Rebbe.

Steering clear from politics means NOT endorsing or enforcing any govt agenda EVER.

It means that the government may NEVER be allowed to dictate when we open or close our yeshivos or shuls. It means NEVER allowing government medical officials to dictate which student may attend Talmud Torah, which teacher may teach Torah, and which ones may not.

It means NEVER allowing govt or even doctors to dictate who may enter our shuls, who may attend our sedarim, and who many not.

These decisions must ONLY be made by rabbonim moirei horo'oh al asar in consultation with independent medical experts who do NOT walk in lockstep with government or pharma. And even then, it's not at all clear that any child may EVER be banned from Talmud Torah, or that a Jewish woman may EVER be banned from immersing in a mikva. A rav who was quick to issue such an extraordinary ban is not entitled to do so without providing a public written psak din with sources, basis and rationale, that can withstand peer review from all the competent rabbanim of our generation. So in effect, the shluchim’s participation in C0/lD policy over the past two years was a horrible shtus that did not come from the side of holiness, but the opposite, rachmono litzlan.

Fortunately, it’s not too late to correct this horrific error. It can be corrected right NOW by shluchim everywhere publicly recanting their compliance with govt, especially where mosdos chinuch, mikvaos, and shuls were involved. Each shliach must publicly state that his mosad’s obedience to govt dictates and compliance with state medical policies were in error, and that he is now taking ownership of this error by resolving to never do so again.

Explain to your communities that you do NOT endorse ANY political policy, medical or otherwise, and that you have NO CONNECTION to any nefarious agendas that might have motivated politicians to impose these policies on their population.

Rescind all your halachically-unjust mask policies at once.

Cancel your so-called covid testing site, and remove any mention of “covid compliance” from your websites.

You must do this now, as soon as possible. The danger looming ahead if this is not corrected is unfathomable.

Make a public statement that you will NEVER alienate or ban ANY Jew from entering your shul or study hall, nor will you EVER ban any Jewish woman from using your mikva. For ANY reason. That statement isn’t political. It’s simply our mission statement as shluchim of the Rebbe.

Further state that you do NOT endorse any policy that bans a healthy person from work, education, or from simply entering a public place.

In part two, I’ll explain the urgency of this message and the dire consequences of not correcting it, so please stay tuned.
